What sort of dog trainer?
The dog training market is ever growing. With no regulation in the dog training industry, more and more people are popping up, calling themselves a dog trainer, with no training whatsoever. You need to stand out from the crowd. There are more than enough dogs and puppies to go round.
There are so many niche markets in the dog training industry.
Whatever you do in business you need to find your niche.

Most people just decide, ‘I want to be a dog trainer,’ but what is that really? What is it you really want to do?
If you want to do puppy training and behaviour work, that’s great, but make yourself stand out from the crowd. Offer something out of the ordinary.
The NDTA doesn’t niche down as such, we still provide services across the board, with our real focus being to help people, like you, to become a dog trainer. Our real focus is to help you have a job/career that you really want to get out of bed for, every day. A job, that on your day off, you miss and can’t wait to get back to it.
Aside from that, locally, we are one of very few dog training providers that provide services for life.
Our pet gundog training service is unique. It’s also very popular. We always have a waiting list, and are constantly setting up new classes to soak up the waiting list.
Our nose work classes are popular. Truffle Hunting, scent identification and discrimination, tracking. The dog’s nose is so important and so undervalued. If you want to help dogs with reactivity, you need to know how to teach them to use their nose positively.
Don’t just be a dog trainer, be a unique individual. Be someone that thinks outside of the box. Provide services nobody else is providing.
Stand out from the crowd.
You can do that by joining The NDTA Dog Trainer Certificate programme. Everyone needs to start at the beginning, but even our beginning will give you activities that nobody else is doing in their puppy class or basic dog training classes.
If you want to stand out from the crowd
No money? Too risky going it alone? Prepared to work hard? Prepared to put your own time in to your training? Fancy being a pet gundog trainer for the NDTA?
If this sounds like something of interest you need to email me and ask to join the discovery session on 20th May at 9am.
You might be wondering why I’ve put this at the bottom of the post? I only want people who are genuinely interested. People who genuinely understand that to achieve what you want in life, you have to give of yourself and make sacrifices. If you’re reading this, it means you’ve taken the time to read the post. You might just be one of the people we are looking for.
