Use of any of our services assumes that you have read and agree with The National Dog Training Academy and The National Dog Training Academy terms and conditions.
All customer records and information is kept in the strictest of confidence and is not shared with any third party. Any information shared with volunteer assistants or paid employees is strictly on a ‘need to know’ basis.
Email addresses and telephone numbers will be used to keep in touch with you while you are in class or one to one training. When you leave you can ask for all of your details to be deleted.
If you are happy for us to keep your details on file, we will only ever use them to keep you up to date with the work of The National Dog Training Academy and to send you, what we hope, is useful information.
You can remove your name from the email list at any time by unsubscribe facility on any group email delivered to your inbox or by emailing us directly.
Postal Address – Giving us your address on your booking form is completely optional. We will only ever use it to send news and ‘nice things.’ If you would rather we don’t have your address, that’s fine.
If you give us your address but do not want us to keep it when you complete your training please just let us know.
At any time you would like all of your records removed you just need to let us know.
Birthdays – we do like to keep a record of customer birthdays so, where appropriate, we can help you to celebrate. This is completely optional so please only give it to us where you are comfortable to do so.
Photos/Videos – Any photos or videos taken may be used for marketing, on our newsletter, social media or other marketing. We may also use photos of dogs and handlers to celebrate grading achievements on social media. Do let us know if this is something you wish to be removed from. We will always ask parents consent before using any photo or video of a child.
All training provided will be by employees who have been trained by The National Dog Training Academy (or formerly AA Dog Training School) and/or deemed to have the necessary experience and skills.
Regular classes will run in accordance with agreement when you sign up. We will only cancel classes if it is deemed unsafe to dog or handler to continue. We cannot be held responsible for ‘acts of God’ but will do our utmost to ensure this has minimal impact on services.
Puppy and basics classes will be run by zoom if it’s unsuitable to run the class. Sometimes, in torrential rain or extreme winds, it may be unsuitable to run young puppy classes. If you don’t have internet access, we will provide an alternative.
One to One sessions are due on booking, through the website or by bank transfer. There is a 7 day no cancellation policy in place. Payment secures your booking. If payment is not made within 24 hours of your booking, it is deemed cancelled and the appointment time allocated to someone else. If you need to change your time for any reason we will do this on one occasion only and must have 24 hours notice.
Payment for any 6 week course, one off class session or events on our events page, is due on booking. There is a no refund policy in place and once payment is made your place remains open to you for the full length of the course.
When you book for a puppy course, you get immediate access to our full online puppy training programme, so we are not able to give refunds, except in extreme circumstances. We are very happy to provide an alterative start date for puppy classes if necessary.
Payment for all regular weekly classes is on a monthly direct debit system through Go Cardless, an authorised and regulated direct debit system. The payment date and amount will have been agreed between us before being entered into the system. You can cancel your direct debit at any time. It is your obligation to cancel your direct debit should you decide to stop attending classes.
There is a no-refund policy in place for payments made. Your place in your class remains open to you until any payment made, runs out.
Non-payment on the due date will deem the place not required and the place will be allocated to someone on the waiting list.
Payment for Dog Trainer Certificate programme is on booking. Any payment made secures your place on the In Person training of your choice. Payment is non-refundable but we may be able to allocate spaces at an alternative In Person training if genuine, unforeseen events prevent you from attending. This is not a guarantee, but we will do our very best.
